How Style handles your information
Written in plain English. Last updated October 7, 2026.
The short version
- Style has no account. It never asks who you are.
- Your sizes, budget, likes, saved looks, stylist chat and photo stay on your device. We never receive them.
- Style has no ads and no analytics. We don't sell personal information.
- To delete it all, clear this website's data in your browser.
1. Who we are
CURRENT Style ("Style") is a free app at mycurrentsystem.com/style/. Style is operated by Doug OS Inc., an Ontario corporation. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Doug OS Inc.
We follow Canada's private-sector privacy law (PIPEDA) and Quebec's privacy law. Section 9 explains your rights, including rights under US state laws.
2. What stays on your device
Style has no sign-in. What you add in Me is saved in your browser's storage on this device:
- Your measurements: height, weight, chest, waist, hips, inseam and shoe size, and your build.
- Who you're shopping for, the style you lean to, and the occasions, styles, brands and colours you like.
- Your budget, what you want to avoid, and your notes.
- The looks you save.
- Your keeps, passes and laters on looks (My likes, Later), and the order of the cover that Style works out from them, and whether you've turned off counting (see section 7).
- Your chat with the Stylist, up to the last 40 messages.
- Your photo, if you add one. See section 3.
None of this is uploaded to us. We can't see it. If it's lost, we can't get it back for you.
Style works out your size guesses and budget picks on your device, from what you enter. The Stylist's answers are made on your device too. Your messages to it are not sent anywhere.
3. Your photo
Adding a photo is up to you. Style uses it only for Try it on, which shows your photo next to the pieces of a look.
- Before saving it, Style shrinks it on your device to about 700 pixels on the long side.
- It's saved in your browser's storage with the rest of your profile. It's never uploaded to us.
- Style only shows your photo. It doesn't edit or scan it.
- A new photo replaces the old one.
Photos from CURRENT Face
CURRENT Face is another CURRENT app on the same website. If you send a photo from Face to Style, it passes from one page to the other inside your browser. Style only accepts it from a page on this same website. It's then saved on your device, like a photo you add yourself.
4. What your browser asks for when Style opens
Like any website, Style has to load from somewhere. When you open it, your browser contacts these places:
- Our server, through Cloudflare, the network that delivers our website. Our server is run by Hetzner in Ashburn, Virginia, in the United States. They receive what any website receives: your internet address, your browser type and the page asked for. Style loads its list of looks from our server, and now and then checks for a new version of the app.
- Google Fonts, for the typeface. Google sees your internet address and that the request came from our website. Google's privacy policy applies.
- The stores' servers, for product photos. Each photo loads straight from the store that sells the piece. Like any image online, that store can see your internet address and browser type. We tell your browser not to send the page address with these requests.
Style also saves a copy of itself on your device so it opens fast and works offline. That copy holds the app and the list of looks. It doesn't hold anything about you.
Because our server and some of these services are outside Canada, these request details can be handled in other countries, including the United States.
5. When you leave Style
- Shop at a store. This opens the store's own website in a new tab. The store can see that you came from our website. From then on, the store's privacy policy and terms apply, including to anything you buy.
- Find a store. This opens Google Maps with a search for that store near you. Style doesn't send your location. Google Maps may use it, depending on your own Google settings.
- Affiliate links. When affiliate links are on, some Shop links first pass through an affiliate network or the store's own program. After you tap, they may set a cookie or similar so the store can credit the sale to Style. They see the tap. They don't get your Style profile. Their privacy policies apply. Their reports show us clicks and sales. They don't give us your name, address or card details. If you'd rather not be counted by a network, block third-party cookies in your browser, or open the store's site yourself instead of tapping the Shop link.
Disclosure: some store links may pay Style a small commission. Your price stays the same.
6. Copy protection
Style runs a small script that makes the app harder to copy. On our website it:
- turns off right-click, text selection, copying, dragging images and printing on Style's pages. Typing in boxes still works.
- blocks some keyboard shortcuts, such as save, print, view source and developer tools.
- tries to clear your clipboard when you press Print Screen.
- keeps a random code for the open tab in your browser. It isn't sent anywhere.
It doesn't read what you type, and it sends nothing about you while you use Style on our website.
If a copy of Style runs on another website, or as a saved file, the script hides that copy, says "This is a copy" and points to the real Style. It also sends one report to our server with the copy's web address and page, the website that linked to it, and the app's name and version. No cookies go with it. We use these reports only to find copies.
7. Totals we keep
Style keeps running totals per look, so the Looks page can show a "most liked" order and so we know which looks and stores people use. When you keep, pass on or set aside a look, tap a Shop link, or tap Send, your browser sends one short message to our server with: the look's ID, which of those it was (and the store's name for a tap), and whether Style was open on the web or inside CURRENT Call. That's all. Sending a look uses your phone's own share sheet; we never see who you sent it to.
- No account, no cookie, no device ID, no fingerprint. We don't keep your IP address or browser details, and we don't log the requests.
- The totals are numbers per look. They can't be traced back to a person, and we never try.
- Your own keeps stay on your device as My likes. The server only ever sees a count.
- You can turn the counting off in Me ("Count my keeps, passes and shop taps"). My likes still works on your device.
- The affiliate networks' own click and sale reports (section 5) are separate. We tell a network only whether a tap came from the web or from Call, never who tapped.
8. What we don't do
- No ads, no ad trackers and no analytics beyond the per-look totals in section 7.
- We don't sell or rent personal information. We don't share it for advertising.
- Style's own code sets no cookies.
- We don't collect your name, email or phone number. Style doesn't ask for them.
9. Keeping and deleting
Your profile, photo, saved looks and chat stay on your device until you delete them.
- To delete them, clear the site data for mycurrentsystem.com in your browser settings. This also clears what other CURRENT apps keep in this browser on the same website.
- If you added Style to your home screen, some phones keep a separate copy for the home screen app. Remove the app to clear it.
- In a private or incognito window, your browser deletes it when you close the window.
We hold none of it, so there's nothing for us to delete. If you email us, we keep your message for as long as we need to answer it, then for 12 months.
The per-look totals in section 7 are kept as numbers for as long as Style runs. There is nothing in them about you to delete.
10. Your rights
Everyone
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also withdraw your consent. Since Style keeps your information on your device, we usually hold nothing about you unless you've written to us. We answer within 30 days.
Canada
If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or 1-800-282-1376.
Quebec
The person in charge of protecting personal information for Style is our Privacy Officer. You can reach them at [email protected]. You can also complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec at cai.gouv.qc.ca.
United States
Some US states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut and Virginia, give you privacy rights. These can include the right to know what a business holds about you, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale, of its use for targeted ads, and of profiling.
We don't sell personal information or use it for targeted ads, and we don't profile you. To use any of these rights, email us. We won't treat you differently for asking. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out.
11. Children
Style is for people 13 and older. It isn't meant for children under 13.
12. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how your information is handled, we'll also say so in the app before it takes effect.
