№ 05 — In-home help

The mom who stays
with your mom.

Elder companionship, post-surgery support, new-parent help. Calm, patient, present. Paid by the hour — never by the appointment, never by the half-day minimum.

The middle thing

Between dropping in and an assisted-living tour.

You want her to stay in her own place — but you live two hours away, the kids have soccer Saturday, the assisted-living brochure didn't sit right. There's a middle thing, and this is it.

A neighbourhood mom shows up at the times you set. She makes lunch the way your mom likes it. She drives her to the appointment. She sends you a photo so you can sleep.

  • Companionship — tea, a chat, a walk, the crossword
  • Light cooking + tidying + laundry started + medication reminders
  • Drives to appointments, groceries, the hairdresser, church
  • Post-surgery + post-discharge support for the first weeks home
  • New-parent help in the first six weeks — baby is the easy part

The Halloran familyIn-home · ongoing
We brought Annette in three afternoons a week after dad's hip surgery. She made lunch, kept the house quiet, drove him to his follow-ups. We weren't trying to replace family — we were trying to give family a break. She did exactly that.

care!!
What we are. What we aren't.

Companionship, not nursing.

we'll be honest — if you need a licensed nurse, we'll tell you and refer.

We do

Companionship + daily life

Cooking, tidying, errands, driving, medication reminders, conversation, walks, the small daily things that keep a person feeling like themselves.

We don't

Clinical care

No injections, no wound care, no lifts, no dementia-locked-unit care. If you need a registered nurse or a PSW, we'll be honest about it and refer.

Worried about a parent?

We'll start with a phone call.
